Help With Wi-Fi?

I am trying to connect my mom's laptop, and its not working. The router is pword protected, WPA-PSK and the algorithm thing is 'AES'. However, I input all of the correct information and the network doesn't show up on her list of wireless networks. What do I do? Should I try resetting the router?
