Why has our country allowed itself to drift so far from its founding principles?

I like what you said about education. I personally had to intervene in my kids education, had to insure my kids knew the level I expected them to get toward their college entrance. That's a tough call because it perplexed me greatly that the teachers were not up to snuff at all in their curriculum. Whats the answer here? My personal belief that this country has gone sour on personal accountability to God and then country. There is never a mention of duty on a personal level or political. They sell like bread everywhere, visual images are corrupt in violence and . Without God at the helm, the me generation has lead to ruin of spirit. My ancestors turn over in their graves, and I cringe at this dark society so many embrace. Our founding fathers started this country from a strong personal foundation of faith in God and duty to country. We do not hold these founding values anymore as these are by gone sentiments that are laughed off. God help us all, we still have but a moment to open our hearts and pray!
