Did Romney just shoot himself in the foot?

I agree. It's dubious help during the primary however he's toast in the general. People in this country are tired of the war in Iraq (not to be confused with the greater "war on terror") and want it over. Independents, Democrats and a lot of republicans aren't going to vote for someone who enthusiastically embraces Bush's policies regarding Iraq.
