If I have a 'D' in algebra, will I not get into a college?

Okay so I am a freshman in high school. I'm taking Algebra 1 an have had a 'D' for quite done time now. I have never been great at math, but I am decent in geometry and statistic like cles. I have A's in English, history, and biology and a C in Spanish. My GPA is. 2.5 - 3.0. What will colleges think? Do college representatives look at freshman year? I want to study medicine.
